Success at Tyne United New Years Head

After a chilly Christmas which included a very cold snap that kept the canal (and most of the country) frozen, it was good to be back to racing!

World Class Start Coach Matt Mole sent a small contingent (number not size) up to the Tyne to take part in the Tyne United New Years Head.

Representing Leeds was Cory in a composite double with fellow World Class Start athlete Ben Newton from University of York BC, and then both went head to head in their single sculls.

No photographic evidence exists of the double or of Cory’s single due to being so fast. Cory and Ben convincingly won in their Open 2x event as did Cory in the Open 1x event.

Well done to both and to Coach Matt Mole for starting the wins in 2023.

Next up… We’re back to the Tyne again with Tyne Head of the River!
