Silver Medal for Georgie at World Cup III

Leeds Rowing Club member and former Yorkshire Start athlete Georgie Brayshaw was back in action for the Great Britain Rowing Team at the World Rowing Cup III in Lucerne. Georgie was again selected for the GB Rowing Team W4x event.

Georgie and won Silver in the W4x event with Jess Leydon, Lucy Glover and Kyra Edwards in a race which saw them in the medal contention from start through to finish.

Georgie was one of the first Leeds RC Yorkshire Start athletes and made the final of Senior Double Sculls at Henley Women’s Regatta in 2017 and subsequently moved to Leander Club to continue her high-performance pathway.

Following on from the Silver in the W2x and fourth place in the W4x at World Cup I, we now wait to see if Georgie is selected for the World Rowing Championships in a few weeks time.
