Junior Wins at Tyne Head

We had a very successful trip up to Newcastle for our junior and senior squads at Tyne Head on the 11th February.

For the seniors this was a good opportunity for our men’s and women’s first and second eights to compete against quality northern clubs and for the juniors this was their first experience of taking on a major head race and taking on the River Tyne!

Senior Results:

Op 8+ Band 1 (4th), Op 8+ Band 2 (2nd), W 8+ Band 1 (3rd), W 8+ Band 2 (2nd)

Junior Results:

Op 4+ Band 2 (WIN and 4th), WJ16 4+ (3rd), J15 4x+ (3rd).

A huge well done to our juniors for their first win at Tyne and also to their first ever sweep win, and it was a solid step on for the seniors on the road to the Tideway Heads in March.

Thanks as always to Cross Keys Garage Morley for their continued support of Leeds Rowing Club with the free use of an Isuzu 4x4.
